Cyclone Vardah Killed Two in Andhra Pradesh- Chennai Tirupathi Airport Remain Suspended

The cyclone varadh is very severe storm that killed two persons in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. According to the NDMA, Vardah activity over north Tamil Nadu moved further west-southwestwards during past 6 hrs at speed of 20 km.

Mainly Nellore and Prakasam districts of south coastal Andhra and Chittoor, Kadapa and Anantapur districts of Rayalaseema region effected from the Cyclone Vardah. There is no major loss of life and property but effecting normal life. Educational institutions are remain closed in effected districts.

Strong winds damaged so many tress, electric poles and communication towers. Flights also suspended in tirupathi and chennai Airports. So many flights are diverted to benguluru and Hyderabad. There is no damage to runway but radar signals are shutdown because of strong winds. Chennai and tirupati airports resuming operations very shortly.

So many people are rescued by the National Disaster Response Force. Food supplies also stocked in the shops by civil supplies department. food packets were also distributed by the NDRF. The humanitarian assistance disaster relief (HADF) operations are standby.
